Preconstruction & Conceptual Estimating

Preconstruction estimating produces an early budget or conceptual estimate before construction documents exist, working from schematic drawings, a scope narrative, or comparable projects. K2E gives GCs a defensible early number so design decisions get made against a real budget instead of a guess.

The earlier a number exists, the more control you have over the outcome. We build conceptual and budget estimates in the design phase so you can steer scope and selections before the budget is locked.

What's included

  • Conceptual and rough-order-of-magnitude estimates
  • Budgets from schematic design or a scope narrative
  • Cost benchmarking against comparable projects
  • Updates as the drawings develop through design
  • Clear assumptions so everyone prices the same scope
